WHY INDEPENDENT ADVICE MATTERS

When a fireplace isn't performing properly, it's easy to receive conflicting advice. An installer may blame the product, the supplier may blame the installation, and the builder may blame the finishing.

Having worked on both the manufacturer and technical support side of the industry, I understand how fireplaces are designed to perform, how they're tested, and the issues that commonly arise once they're installed. That broader perspective allows me to identify the likely cause of a problem and recommend practical, code-compliant solutions—without being tied to a particular manufacturer or installer.

Over more than 20 years in the fireplace industry, my experience includes working with Stovax, where I gained extensive knowledge of fireplace design, testing and product performance across Australia and New Zealand, followed by several years providing technical support and resolving complex fireplace issues throughout New Zealand. Today, that experience allows me to provide practical, independent advice focused solely on achieving the best outcome for my clients.
