Projects
Before and after - the difference design makes.
Redesign with
Gas Fireplace
Gazco Riva2 600 Insert
The project goal was to enhance the fireplace aesthetics within the large living space by utilising the existing fireplace opening and creating a more cohesive overall design.
The original stone surround was removed and replaced with a striking new stone feature that visually connects the gas insert with the new cabinetry. This approach allowed the fireplace to integrate seamlessly with the interior colour palette and furnishings, resulting in a balanced and refined focal point for the room.

Stovax Studio 2 Inbuilt
The project goal was to improve the heat within the large living space, utilising the existing fireplace opening and make the space more inviting.
The old low heat output open gas fireplace was removed and replaced with a high heat output Stovax Studio 2 inbuilt wood fire. A brick surround with matching hearth was built around the fireplace to meet the non-combustible requirements and soften the firebox , then finished with a steel mantel.

Redesign with
Gas Fireplace
Gazco Riva2 600 Insert
The design approach focused on elevating the fireplace as a considered architectural element within the study, working within the constraints of the existing fireplace opening to create a more resolved and cohesive space.
The original stone surround was removed and replaced with a refined stone feature that frames the new gas insert and anchors the room. Carefully selected to complement the interior colour palette and furnishings, the new surround enhances material continuity and establishes the fireplace as a calm, integrated focal point.

New Build with
Wood Fireplace
Stûv 30 Compact
The goal for this project was to select a freestanding fire that would complement a cantilevered bench in an open-plan living area with a tall stud. The clients considered various styles of freestanding fires, but the standout fireplace that worked with the allocated space was the Stûv 30 Compact. They were drawn to its elegant lines and craftsmanship and ability to rotate, seeing it as a key feature for this new build by Jason Mann of Iconic Homes.

Gazco Riva2 670 Insert
The project goal was to improve the fireplace aesthetics within the large open plan living space designed by architect Daniel Marshall, working with the existing clean architectural lines. We needed to work with the current fireplace opening and existing flue run.
The open gas fireplace was removed and replaced with an efficient glass fronted gas fire Gazco Riva2 670, with glass lining to improve flame appearance and black glass surround to match existing glass cabinet doors.

Replacement
Wood Fireplace
Stûv 30 Compact
The project goal was to enhance the entrance as the placement of the fire was the feature of the room and provide additional heat to a very high stud open plan room.
The older freestanding wood fire was removed and replaced with contemporary Stuv 30 Compact wood burning fire and round steel floor plate to ground the fire. The Stuv 30 Compact fire is elegant with clean lines that looks stunning when it is working or not.

Stovax Studio 2 Clean Air Freestanding
The project goal was to select a large format freestanding wood fire that was clean air approved.
The Stovax Studio 2 Clean Air freestanding fire was the ideal solution for this large open plan room. The fire sits perfectly on the precast concrete bench and is a feature within this stunning Taupō property built by Landmark Homes.
